From humble beginnings, the business was built from the ground up by Werner Teubes. His love for livestock farming started at the age of ten. Werner’s passion has governed the development of a strong and enthusiastic team that all share the same core values that set Calf Grow SA apart as a conscientious leader in cattle integration.

Established in 1999, with nearly 23 years of success behind it, Calf Grow SA specialises in providing sustainable, higher-welfare beef supply chain solutions.

PROCUREMENT

Our passionate team of buyers have built strong, supportive and trusted relationships with our dairy and beef farmers. We buy dairy and beef cross calves from dairy farms weekly to stock our own supply chain rearing units and sell externally. Our units are strategically located, covering the most densely populated dairy farming areas. We are always searching for quality, healthy calves from farms aligned with our higher welfare values.

REARING

As the most critical stage in our supply chain, the correct and dedicated calf rearing guarantees our calves have the best possible start in life, ensuring optimum health and performance throughout the animals’ lifecycle. Once a batch of quality calves has been procured and delivered, our grower units rear the calves and take them through to finish.

Whilst we are renowned for our supply chains, we are also involved in the procurement and marketing of calves to external, independent beef producers.
